From the private collection of architect and artist Erol Oztan, going from 300 to 30 m².
Iconic Egg Chair with ottoman, designed by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark. The model was originally designed in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and grew into one of the most recognizable designs in the Danish modernist design tradition.
The sculptural form offers a high degree of comfort and privacy and is characteristic of Jacobsen’s organic approach to furniture design. The chair stands on a four-legged aluminium swivel base and is offered together with the original matching ottoman. The underside of the chair bears the Fritz Hansen label “Made in Denmark”.
Condition: Vintage condition with clear signs of wear consistent with age and use. The leather shows wear, cracking, and discoloration, with minor damage to the seat cushion. Structure and construction are stable. Appraisal value €7,500
