Sculpture / Art Object by LJ Billion
The object consists of a white lacquered wooden base with a transparent plexiglass panel embedded in it. Each side of the panel is covered with nine convex mirrors. The mirrors reflect their surroundings from slightly different perspectives compared to their neighbors. The base is illuminated, so the edges glow yellow and green in low light or darkness. The object is signed with a "B" in the lower right corner. The underside is labeled and hand-signed. This series is limited to 10 pieces. They are handmade and therefore vary slightly. The photos show an example of one object from the series. You will receive number 1/10.
The object comes with a USB-C cable with a switch, compatible with any standard USB power adapter (not included). Dimensions: approx. H 18.4 x W 15 x D 4.4 cm
Text excerpt from the artist's website: "Reflections, geometric patterns and color are the focus of op art artist L.J. Billion's work. Because the artist works mainly with reflective materials, it's not so much the artwork you see, but rather the reflection of its surroundings. This means that an artwork never looks the same, depending on the time of day, lighting conditions, viewing angle, etc. As the viewer is reflected in the artwork, they become part of it. This encourages many people to interact with the artwork through movement. Because of that, the artist calls his art "passive-kinetic".
