Beautiful antique Art Deco 3-door demountable wardrobe from the 1930s. Until recently, it was always located in a monumental rectory. The wardrobe features beautiful rounded shapes along the edges and doors and stands on wide legs. It is made partly of oak and partly of veneer. The outer doors are finished in a medium-colored oak veneer, and the middle door in a darker Wenge veneer; this is also reflected in the rounded corners next to the outer doors. There is a decorative molding on the front of the top panel. It still features the beautiful hinges and locks; see photos.
Inside, there is a section with 4 shelves on the left, and behind the other 2 doors, there is a hanging rail. For an additional charge of 45 euros per shelf, extra shelf(s) can be added to the wide section; please indicate this when placing your order. We use reclaimed wood for this; in our company, we strive to reuse as much material as possible.
The wardrobe has been cleaned, thoroughly inspected, and has undergone some repairs. The base has been renewed (using used material), the locks have been lubricated (they run like a dream), and the shelves have been sanded. The legs have been re-glued. The doors close well, although the left one is slightly warped at the bottom, and the cabinet is extremely sturdy and solid. It has some old woodworm holes at the bottom of the right side panel, as well as in the back wall. This is not unusual for a cabinet of this type; to be on the safe side, we have treated it twice with an anti-woodworm agent.
A beauty of a cabinet that is completely ready to be put into use in a new location!
Dimensions: W180 x D60 (plus 2 cm for the protruding slat at the top front) x H191 cm. The cabinet is demountable and is also delivered for transport.
