Adorable antique toy in lithographed sheet metal, depicting a clown in a yellow polka-dot costume driving a cart pulled by a leopard-print donkey.
A fine example of mid-twentieth-century painted sheet metal work, with a naïve, colorful charm.
The toy features attractive geometric decoration on the wheels and cart, and lively expression on the characters. It works as a friction or wind-up toy (check mechanism).
