Product description
This beautiful antique statue of the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus was made by Gerard Linssen (GLV) in 1910. The facial expressions of Mary and Jesus are truly magnificent. The statue has been professionally restored without losing its patina.
Gerard Linssen was a Dutch master saint-sculptor who focused on producing polychrome plaster sculptures.
In 1893, he established his factory in Venlo and became a major supplier of church statues, even for the Pope.
This statue bears the hallmark and the original hallmark plate of G.L.V. (see photo).
The GLV statue of the Virgin Mary is 46.5 cm high, 12.5 cm wide, and 7.5 cm deep.
