This antique school plate by teacher Hendrik Jan van Lummel, dating from 1890-1900, offers a fascinating glimpse into the education of yesteryear. Several plates were made by this teacher since 1857 with different themes. Printed until the late 1800's by printers Kemink and Son in Utrecht, also by Jozef Hoevenaar.
The plate is printed on sturdy paper and shows a scene that is both educational and visually appealing with texts in Dutch and French.
Dimensions: 76 cm long and 75 cm high.
