Elegant small antique pewter cup, raised on a pedestal base and featuring a beautiful scroll handle. Its silhouette charmingly adopts the codes of classical silversmithing, in a more understated version where the natural patina of the metal adds all its depth. The rim of the cup is adorned with a delicate beaded band, a decoration also found at the join of the foot. The hemispherical bowl, generous and deep, rests on a widely flared circular base which gives it a very appealing presence despite its modest dimensions. This cup is in keeping with neoclassical-inspired table objects. Today, it can resume its original function or become a charming decorative piece, placed on a table, a bookshelf, or among a collection of antique pewter. The pewter has a beautiful grey patina, with the nuances, small marks, and traces left by time which fully contribute to the piece's character. Height approximately 9 cm. Diameter at opening approximately 6.5 cm. Circa .
