The artwork depicts a typical Dutch scene with grazing cows along a waterfront, a sandy road, and a farmhouse in the background. The composition features beautiful, warm lighting and fine details in the trees. The painting is characteristically signed J.v.d.S. Bakhuyzen in the lower left corner. This fine cabinet piece is in good antique condition and is housed in the original, richly decorated gold-colored ornamental frame (Baroque style), which gives the work an extra classic appearance.
