This antique majolica wall plate was manufactured by the Bohemian manufacturer Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn around 1890. The ceramic relief plate features a detailed, three-dimensional depiction of a romantic country house, making it a striking collector's item from the early Art Nouveau period.
The object bears the original blind stamp with model number 2642 on the reverse. The bright, multi-colored glazes have been beautifully preserved. This classic wall ornament comes into its own perfectly in an eclectic or historically inspired interior, making it a perfect atmospheric addition to a gallery wall.
