This kettle was used to boil water during the Victorian era (late 19th century, toward the 20th century). It is made of copper and brass and features an acorn-shaped knob on the lid and a swan-neck-shaped spout. There is a hallmark on the bottom that appears to be in the shape of a snail or a horseshoe with a curled plant inside. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify this hallmark. What I have been able to establish, however, is that this is certainly a European kettle, likely made in England. It has some small dents here and there, and the end of the spout is slightly indented. But it looks beautiful in a rustic, country kitchen.
