Antique glazed stoneware hot water bottle, late 19th century (circa 1870–1900).
A beautiful antique utilitarian piece in cream/light gray glazed salt-glazed stoneware. Originally intended to hold hot water, it now finds its perfect place as a decorative object: a bud vase, an ikebana arrangement, a wabi-sabi decoration, or a cabinet of curiosities.
Very good overall condition: no cracks or chips. A small glaze flaw on one side. A fragment of a cork stopper is present inside.
Beautiful patina and traces of the potter's wheel are visible on the base.
Dimensions: 30 x 11 x 10.5 cm.
