A beautiful, characterful soup tureen by the famous French manufacturer Faïencerie de Longwy. This is the sought-after 'Cluny' model, decorated with a timeless blue and white motif.
This piece breathes history and is a beautiful object for the lover of French antiques, brocante, or a country kitchen.
Details:
Brand: Longwy (France), marked on the underside.
Model: Cluny.
Period: Late 19th / early 20th century (approx. 1890-1920).
Features: Includes lid with a handy recess for a soup ladle.
Condition:
There is a chip out of the rim. Authentic condition ("shabby chic"). There is crazing and some age-related discoloration in the glaze.
Pickup/Shipping:
