This brass/bronze bowl originates from France and was likely made in the last decades of the 19th century. The handles are richly decorated with lion heads. The bowl rests on three lion paws. An absolutely breathtaking piece of history with a beautiful golden hue and a patina befitting its age. You can see that the bowl is very old, as the lion heads are no longer as detailed and sharp as they used to be. This bowl was probably used as a table decoration, but of course, it can now also be used as a storage bowl, planter, or decorative bowl in the home.
