Antique Coffee/Chocolate Pot – Mappin & Webb – England circa 1900 – Silver-plated
For sale is an elegant antique coffee/chocolate pot from the renowned English manufacturer Mappin & Webb. Dating from the Edwardian period, the pot is believed to have been made between 1905 and 1915.
The piece is silver-plated and rests on three finely crafted animal feet. Particularly beautiful are the curved spout, the decorative wavy rim of the lid, and the dark, heat-resistant handle made of wood or Bakelite – typical features of high-quality English pots of this era.
The maker's mark MAPPIN & WEBB, a well-known British silversmith and former purveyor to the Royal Household, is located on the underside.
