Antique Chinese Side Table – Handcrafted – Jade, Mother of Pearl & Gold Painting – Jinlong Beijing
Beautiful mid-century Chinese side table/stool/drinking table, larger than most modern versions. This unique piece stands on five ruyi-shaped legs and is lavishly hand-painted with gold flowers, scrolls, and butterflies.
The top is truly eye-catching: beneath the thick, custom-cut glass top lies a handmade, three-dimensional composition of jade/jadeite, including green bamboo, chrysanthemums (up to approximately 1 cm tall!), and a bird with a dazzling mother-of-pearl tail. A rare gemstone that exudes depth and luxury.
Made in the mid-20th century by Jinlong (Golden Dragon) in Beijing, as stated on the original label. This older version is recognizable by its generous size.
