Decorative vitrine cabinet from Brittany, France, dating to the late 19th century.
Executed in solid chestnut wood and richly adorned with hand-carved folk art motifs typical of Breton furniture. The glazed door opens to reveal interior shelving, while the lower panel features a carved rural scene.
The cabinet is further decorated with floral, leaf and geometric carvings. The architectural crest is centered by a carved Breton portrait medallion.
A fine example of regional French craftsmanship from the period.
Condition
Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The left side panel shows some discoloration caused by light exposure. Structurally sound.
