Antique Art Deco fruit bowl/centerpiece from the Luxval series in amber glass made by Val Saint Lambert in the 1930s.
This Art Deco bowl is made of pressed glass and named Noémie from the Luxval series by Val Saint Lambert. The bowl was designed by top designers Charles Graffart and René Delvenne in the 1930s in Belgium, signed in relief at the bottom Val St Lambert Belgique.
This beautiful Art Deco fruit bowl has a bright and warm amber color; the double handles feature fantastic geometric shapes. Its provenance can be found in the LUXVAL catalog released in 1935. This series was released in various colors.
In good vintage condition. The bowl has a small chip on the inside of the base (see photo), but this is not noticeable at all.
