Rare and beautiful antique stipple engraving from 1805. This piece depicts the dramatic moment "Abelard and Eloisa Surpris'd by Fulbert," a famous scene from the tragic medieval love story.

Condition & Damages:
The print is in good antique condition for its age (over 220 years old).
• Foxing: There is some light age-related spotting (foxing) visible on the paper, primarily around the margins, which is typical for authentic 19th-century prints.
• Paper: The paper has a natural creamy patina. No major tears or creases are visible through the glass.
• Frame: Housed in a vintage/antique wooden frame with a gold-leaf inner border. The frame shows some light scuffing and age-related wear but remains sturdy and adds to the period charm.
