Here you have the opportunity to purchase a piece of seating furniture from the successful stool series by Anna Castelli Ferrieri (1918-2006), which she designed for the company Kartell in the 1980s.

Postmodern, geometrically reduced design. Extremely stable and robust construction made of tubular steel and plastic elements.

DESIGNER:
Anna Castelli Ferrieri was born in Milan in 1918 and was one of the first women to work as an architect and designer. In her early career, she worked closely with Franco Albini, whose ideas of reduction, function, and a rigorous aesthetic profoundly influenced her. The principles of the Bauhaus school—simplicity, functionality, and modern solutions—also formed the foundation of her later work. She met Le Corbusier in Paris and, in the 1950s, founded an architecture firm with Ignazio Gardella. Later, she became increasingly involved in furniture design and was chief designer and art director of KARTELL, her husband's company. There, she combined aesthetics with high functionality and experimented extensively with material technologies to develop economical and practical furniture.
Anna Castelli died on June 22, 2006, at the age of 87.
