A magnificent pair of ES101 office chairs, also known as the "Intermediate Chair," designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller.
Those particular chairs are a Mobilier International edition, meaning it was produced in France.
This model is extremely rare, as it was only produced for five years, from 1968 to 1974. Production ceased due to excessive manufacturing costs.
The Intermediate Chair is considered a hybrid model, combining features of the Executive Desk Chair and the Time Life Chair.
The pair currently for sale has been reupholstered in beautiful cognac leather, but the chair frames remain in their original condition and have not been altered.
This pair is in very good vintage condition; the frames show some signs of wear consistent with age. All of this is visible in the photos.
