Product description
A classic pair of Aalto barstools with original red linoleum seats. This pair were manufactured in the late 1950s/ early 1960s as can be seen from the old screws and general warm patina. All Aalto furniture from this period was manufactured by Artek (although not all pieces were stamped with the makers markings). We therefore are attributing the manufacturer to Artek, Finland.
Totally original condition. Structurally in good solid condition. We decided not to have them restored as we believe that Aalto plywood furniture benefits from its age related patina.
One chair has a piece of the plywood missing from the back of the back rest. These are other minor losses of plywood and some losses of the old varnish especially to the back rests.
