A sharp piece of Danish lighting design: The "Rappe Louis" desk lamp by Alfred Homann for Louis Poulsen (c. 1989). A prime example of late 20th-century Scandinavian functionalism, known for its angled, minimalist profile and excellent direct task lighting.
This unit has been thoughtfully upgraded with a modern, highly efficient LED-compatible power supply. The original heavy, hot-running halogen transformer has been replaced with a cool-running, flicker-free driver with near-zero standby power draw.
• Modernized Electronics: Energy-efficient LED setup; no hum, no excessive heat output.
• Extended Reach: Fitted with an extra-long power cable for easy placement, featuring an integrated inline switch. The cable extension can easily be shortened or hidden if a minimal setup is preferred.
• Controls: Includes the original integrated push-button on the base, as well as the in-line switch on the cable extension.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of use consistent with age. Fully functional.
• Origin: Made in Denmark by Louis Poulsen.
