Elegant mid-century chest of drawers designed by Alfred Hendrickx for Belform, Belgium, circa 1960.
Veneered in striking zebrawood with its characteristic striped grain, this cabinet has four drawers with the original cylindrical metal handles. The cabinet rests on a black lacquered plinth that gives the furniture a floating appearance, a signature element in Hendrickx's refined modernist style.
The clean lines, exotic veneer and subtle metal details reflect the timeless Belgian modernist aesthetic, making this cabinet not only a functional storage piece, but also a collector's item.
