An iconic whistling kettle designed by Richard Sapper for Alessi in 1983. The "9091" was Sapper's first product for Alessi and has since become a true design icon.
This kettle is made of polished stainless steel with a black corrugated plastic handle and a brass whistle mouthpiece. The kettle is unique thanks to its patented double whistle, which produces a harmonious melody once the water boils. The sound was composed by a friend of Sapper's, a music teacher.
This kettle comes with the original box, manual, and the two steel whistles.
A must-have for lovers of Italian design, or as a functional art object in the kitchen.
