Description:
Small abstract-figurative sculpture consisting of a stylized torso-like form in patinated metal, mounted on a solid granite pedestal.
The sculpture displays an organic, curved form referencing a human upper body with shoulders and torso, executed in a minimalist and modernist style. The contrast between the rough granite and the smooth, patinated metal enhances the sculptural effect.
Such studio works were frequently produced by Dutch sculptors within the modern figurative tradition from the 1970s–1990s.
