Product description
The dining table, designated 'M1', is a fine example of sculptural design, crafted from Arabescato marble and created by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1969 for the Italian furniture manufacturer Skipper. The round top is perfectly balanced on the conical base due to the weight of the top. The table is fully balanced due to the natural law of gravity. It is in very good condition, with the yellowed varnish having been removed by a professional marble specialist. The decision was taken to use 'honed' marble in order to achieve the most natural appearance. Some filled cracks in the marble, which were originally done by Skipper, can be seen in the base. Six chairs can be placed around the table with ease.
