Product description
This is a JH589 Bar Bench designed by Hans Wegner in ash wood. Wegner designed this bench for his own hallway in 1953. It was taken into production by Johannes Hansen's Møbelsnedkeri A/S in Denmark the same year. This copy is one of the last ones they manufactured. Production resumed in the 1990s by PP Møbler.
Thanks to its simple, open design, the bench looks light and airy. It blends in seamlessly with its surroundings. Beautifully crafted, it showcases Wegner's exceptional skills.
This versatile piece can be used as seating, a coffee table, or for storage. Consequently, it can be used in a variety of spaces.
The bar bench is included in the collections of various museums worldwide, including New York's MoMA.
