This set of eight King Costes chairs was designed by Philippe Starck for Aleph in the early 1990s. The design is characterized by a curved wooden backrest and a minimalist metal frame, resulting in a timeless and recognizable design.
The chairs are crafted with a walnut wood shell resting on a slender aluminum frame. The seats are upholstered in beige leather, creating a subtle contrast with the warm wood tones and the cool metal. The chairs were produced in Italy, as indicated on the original labels on the underside.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with age and use. Over the years, the materials have developed a natural character, while the structural integrity and original design have been fully preserved.
