70s Cream-Colored Rodolfo Bonetto Bilumen Magazine Rack
This industrial magazine rack was designed in the 1970s by Italian designer Rodolfo Bonetto. The cream magazine rack with modernist design elements is a design from the line he released in collaboration with the design agency Bilumen. Bilumen began by publishing designer lighting, but over the years, with a diverse team of groundbreaking Italian designers, has focused on the entire field of interior design.
Rodolfo Bonetto is a designer specializing in industrial design. Throughout his career, the Italian has won numerous awards for his groundbreaking designs, and his pieces have been exhibited in a variety of museums worldwide. As a designer, he didn't adhere to a specific design direction. In addition to everyday objects, he has also worked in the lighting and automotive industries, and even designed musical instruments. This makes Bonetto one of the most influential Italian designers. It was so popular in Europe in the 1960s that the renowned German Bauhaus Academy "Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm" appointed Bonetto as a senior lecturer in industrial design.
The magazine rack is in excellent vintage condition, but has some signs of wear such as scratches, dents, and minor discoloration.
