Set of 6 Vintage Castelli DSC 106 Chairs – Giancarlo Piretti, 1965 A characterful set of six original DSC 106 chairs, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1965. The design is a textbook example of Italian industrial design: efficient, technical, and elegant. The warm-colored, curved wooden seats and backrests are supported by sculptural elements of cast aluminum and slender steel legs. A unique feature of the DSC 106 is that the construction is not hidden, but rather forms the visual focal point. The aluminum connections give the chairs their recognizable architectural character and also allow them to be stacked compactly. The wood of all six chairs is in very neat vintage condition and displays a beautiful, warm sheen. Light signs of use and patina on the wood and metal are appropriate for their age and remain part of their authentic appearance. The original Castelli brand stamp is present. A strong and versatile set for around a dining table, conference table, or within a carefully curated interior.
