This set of six majolica dessert plates was manufactured by the renowned French faience factory St Clément. The plates are characterized by their barbotine technique, in which three-dimensional fruit motifs are applied in relief to the surface, creating a lively and tactile presentation.
Each plate is made of ceramic and features a unique, hand-painted fruit decoration, including grapes, cherries, pears, and plums, against a soft green and cream-colored background. The detailed leaves and branches enhance the naturalistic design typical of the French majolica tradition. The back of the plates is marked with the St Clément stamp, confirming their origin in France.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with age and use (minimal scratches on a single plate), and retains its original luster and characteristic appearance. The vibrant colors and relief have been well preserved.
