Set of five original 40/4 design chairs, designed by David Rowland for Howe. This iconic model was introduced in 1964 and owes its name to the ability to stack forty chairs within four feet.
The chairs combine a sleek chrome-plated steel frame with curved wooden seats and backrests in a deep dark brown chestnut shade. Lightweight, comfortable, and particularly space-saving.
The set is in good vintage condition with visible signs of use and an attractive patina consistent with age and use.
