This set of five Cesca chairs, produced by Cidue in Italy, is an iconic example of modernist design. Originally conceived by Marcel Breuer, the design combines a tubular frame with natural materials for a timeless aesthetic.
The chairs are crafted with a chrome-plated steel tubular frame that provides the characteristic springy seat. The seats and backrests are made of beech wood, inlaid with woven webbing (rattan). The armrests, also made of beech wood, offer extra comfort. The chairs bear the original Cidue label, confirming their Italian origin.
The set is in used condition, with the structural integrity of the frames preserved. The wooden elements and the webbing show characteristic signs of age, contributing to the authentic vintage look of the set. Some seats require attention for optimal use.
