Set of 4 Lapalma LEM bar stools — design Shin & Tomoko Azumi Four original LEM bar stools from the Italian company Lapalma, marked with the embossed trademark in the frame. The LEM owes its name to the Lunar Excursion Module, the moonlander of 1969. That is not a story made up after the fact: just as Apollo 11 could not carry a single gram of unnecessary weight, this stool brings all functions together in one continuous profile. Only the essentials, the rest remained on the ground. You can see that immediately. A single curved steel band simultaneously forms the frame of the seat and the footrest, and joins the column above the ground. As a result, the seat appears to float. The sleek character of the steel is softened by the organic curvature of the seat shell. Precisely the tension that earned this design multiple international design awards, including the FX International Interior Design Award. The stool is at least as practical. The seat rotates 360 degrees, so you do not have to stand up to turn around. The height is infinitely adjustable via a gas spring. The heavy round footplate keeps everything stable without taking up space. The seats are upholstered in black leather. The set is in good condition with light signs of use. All stools work properly.
