Designer and Manufacturer:
This family-run furniture company was founded in 1907 by Heinrich Flötotto in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
After many successful decades, which saw FLÖTOTTO collaborate with designer legend Luigi Colani, among others, the company also experienced challenging economic times, which the family had to weather several times.
The Elmar Flötotto Service Holding later included the FLÖTOTTO brand as well as the AUTHENTICS and SITTING BULL brands.
Following FLÖTOTTO, the company's name was later incorporated into Elmar Flötotto Service Holding. The highly positive business relationship with star designer Konstantin Grcic (formerly with Jasper Morrison's studio), who has also worked for DRIADE, Vitra, and MAGIS, led to the current successor model, "PRO," which builds on FLÖTOTTO's long-standing experience and tradition and has already received the following awards for "Design and Function":
Interior Innovation Award 2012
REDDOT DESIGN AWARD
German Design Award nominee 2013
