Four dining chairs in a style that personally reminds me somewhat of Arts & Crafts. Given the age of the chairs, that is not illogical.
In 1887, Hendrik Pander (1842-1893), the son of Klaas Pander (rush mat maker 1819 - 1897), opened the Pander Furniture Factory in The Hague on the Zuid-Westsingelgracht (now the Buitenom). This large furniture workshop was located in the former Hollandia flour mill. Around the turn of the century, Pander also made mattresses with kapok and coil springs. In 1889, Hendrik Pander's company was expanded with three partners, and the company name changed to H. Pander & Zonen. Pander closed its doors in 1985.
Based on the label (the typography and locations, see photo), the chairs can be dated to the period 1920-1935. The chairs are in very good condition, especially considering their age.
