Very solid and beautiful set of 4 unique vintage chairs.
This set consisting of 4 beautiful chairs, finished in teak with new light blue / gray upholstery is from the first owners and very nicely maintained.
People have always enjoyed using these chairs and have been careful with them as evidenced by their current condition.
Recently, these chairs have been completely restored, all connections are adjusted where necessary so they can last for years again.
The upholstery is also completely and expertly redone in a fresh light blue color with first class fabric, and is in a better than original condition. All the woodwork has also been completely checked and recoated.
The design of the chairs is very special, on a beautiful base with conical legs made of solid teak is mounted a flowing seat that looks somewhat like a tub, a teak wooden handle finishes it off. The beautiful new upholstery accentuates the flowing form and gives the whole a cuddly and friendly look.
The Fabric.
We used a light blue / gray tinted first class furniture fabric from the company Switch in the quality "Odense". The fabric has a Bouclé effect and therefore has a contemporary but also retro look & feel.

The chairs, which are not marked, are in terms of construction, weight and quality very similar to those of AWA, WeBe, Mahjongg and Pynock, all very good quality manufacturers from the Netherlands.
The seating comfort is very pleasant, partly due to the slightly larger dimensions than usual for Vintage chairs.
The overall condition is exceptionally fine, over 60 years old, and especially after the recent restoration, immediately usable.
In short, a set of 4 vintage chairs, presumably Dutch design and of very nice quality in a beautiful color.
