For sale is an excellently preserved set of four original cognac snifters from the experimental "Tendentse" collection by the renowned Italian design house Alessi.
The "Tendentse" project was initiated in the 1980s. Alongside the defining vision of the influential designer and Memphis founder Ettore Sottsass, numerous other top international designers contributed to this extraordinary line. The creative team's shared goal was to imbue everyday objects with a new emotional and artistic depth. For the production of these high-quality crystal glass objects, Alessi collaborated with select traditional manufacturers in German-speaking countries.
These classically proportioned, voluminous balloon glasses are an outstanding example of the uncompromising quality standards of this era. They are ideal for tasting cognac or brandy and are a valuable addition to any sophisticated table setting.
