Here is a set of four cantilever chairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima in the 1970s. These chrome-plated metal chairs perfectly capture the unmistakable character of Italian design from the 1970s and impress with their timeless silhouette.
The construction consists entirely of robust, silver-colored chrome wire, shaped into an ergonomic seat shell. The cantilevered frame provides comfortable support while sitting and lends the design a visual lightness. The flowing lines and cool metal make this model a true classic of the era, captivating in both form and function.
The set is in very good vintage condition and displays an authentic patina that underscores the chairs' history. The chrome surfaces still shine, and the structure is perfectly stable and suitable for everyday use.
These Rinaldi chairs are a perfect match for a large wooden or glass dining table. They blend seamlessly into modern, minimalist, or mid-century modern dining rooms, adding a distinct architectural accent to the space.
Upon request and for an additional fee, I can have new seat cushions made by an upholsterer – please contact me.
