Product description
Nicolle Chaise, 3 French industrial metal design bar stools.
We also have a set of 6 (lower) chairs with backrests available in another listing.
This original industrial design classic (also often used as a studio chair, work stool) was made from 1933 to 1952 at Les Etablissements Nicolle in Paris.
The factory went bankrupt until production restarted in 2010.
3 bar stools in matte black metal with cognac faux leather seats. Original and marked.
The backrest can be removed with a wing nut, allowing these chairs to also be used as stools.
Condition:
Two feet are missing from the bottom of one stool. These can be easily ordered from the dealer, in a set of 4 from Extravert, and are included in the price. Due to wear and tear, it is recommended to replace all of them.
In good used condition, see photos. Some rust and damage to the paintwork, primarily on the legs and bottom, contributes to the charm and appearance of these bar stools.
The cushions are glued in place and provide a comfortable, soft seat. There are a few minor scratches on the leatherette, but these are not visible and could be replaced with a different fabric, for example.

The Chaises Nicolle of today is made using the original tools in the original molds. Thanks to the flexible backrest and attractive appearance, this stool, chair, bar stool, and bar chair are gaining popularity in French bistros, restaurants, hospitality venues, and kitchens.
They are comparable to other well-known metal chairs such as Tolix by Xavier Pauchard, Fibrocit, Chaise Bienaise, Emu, Singer, etc., which fit well in both vintage and modern interiors.
