These three paintings are by the Dutch artist Walter van Oel. The works are characterized by a strongly abstract and material approach, in which texture and relief play a prominent role.
The distinctive paintings are executed on canvas and display a layered technique with a sandy, ochre-colored base. Abstract, geometric, and organic forms have been applied to this in metallic shades such as gold, silver, and copper, combined with oxidized blue and green tones. The works are signed on the reverse and dated '98.
The paintings are in reasonable condition. Wear is visible at the edges, likely due to storage. The paintings come from the art collection of Aon.
