Title: Set of 2 Iconic Gastone Rinaldi Design Armchairs (Rima, 1970s)
Offered: A beautiful set of two original Italian vintage wire armchairs, designed by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima in the 1970s. An absolute classic for lovers of Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design!
Condition:
Structurally, the chairs are still in top condition: The frame is perfectly straight, rock-solid, and shows no cracks in the wire steel or welds. They are wonderfully comfortable thanks to the springy cantilever tubular frame.
Please note: Due to the passage of time, the chairs do suffer from some oxidation/surface rust on the chrome (see photos). For the handy enthusiast, this can probably be made beautifully shiny again with some chrome polish (such as Belgom or Autosol) and a ball of aluminum foil. The chairs are sold without cushions.
