Slide Queen Of Love — Design Moro & Pigatti
Queen Of Love armchair by the Italian Slide Design, in classic orange.
The Queen Of Love is the most famous piece from the Design Of Love collection that Graziano Moro and Renato Pigatti designed for Slide in 2009. It is a baroque throne. It features curly carvings in the backrest, rolled arms, and curved legs, but cast entirely in through-colored polyethylene. This clash between eighteenth-century form and industrial plastic is precisely the joke: from a distance, a salon armchair from a palace, up close, a piece of pop design that you can easily spray clean with a garden hose.
The material makes it practical. Polyethylene, UV-stabilized and through-colored, rotationally molded in one piece. No upholstery, no seams, nothing that can rot. That's why these chairs look just as good on a terrace, in a garden, or by the pool as they do indoors in a hall, shop, or hospitality establishment. At 20 kg, they are light enough to move alone and wide enough to sit in truly comfortably.
Two pieces together make the most attractive arrangement: one Queen Of Love is an eye-catcher, two facing each other complete an entrance or a terrace corner. One piece is also negotiable.
Condition: good, with signs of use consistent with its age. Scratches on the side and top edge.
