The Steelwood Stool from Magis is available in different variations of steel with beech wood:
Natural beech wood, with black or white painted steel.
About the designers: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are two brothers and now very renowned designers / artists from Paris who work in very diverse disciplines: from jewelry to architecture, both on a small and large scale, from drawings to videos and photography. They also do many experimental art projects in collaboration with Gallery Kreo. They enter into partnerships, but essentially work with a team of about six people from their studio in Paris. Their breakthrough came in 1997 when they were noticed by Cappellini, giving them their first industrial design projects.
In 2001 they held their first exhibition at Galerie Kreo, after which they were asked by Issey Miyake to design the store for his new collection. Since then they have worked for brands such as Artek, Alessi, Axor Hansgrohe, Cappellini, Established & Sons, Flos, Hay, Kettal, Kvadrat, Kartell, Glas Italia, Ligne Roset, Magis, Iittala, Mattiazzi, Mutina, Nani Marquina, Samsung and Vitra.
