Pair of Latonda 614 chairs, designed by Mario Botta for Alias, Italy, 1980s
An iconic model of postmodern Italian design, recognizable by its circular frame in black lacquered tubular steel and its seat in black lacquered perforated steel sheet – now discontinued. Alias labels are still present under the seat.
Both chairs are in excellent condition, exceptional for pieces from this period: stable and well-maintained frame, very clean black lacquer, and superbly preserved seats.
They have a striking graphic presence, both radical and elegant. Ideal around a table, as an accent pair in a living room, office, entryway, or for a collector of designer furniture.
They can be sold individually, but this pair is a preferred choice. --
