Exquisite design classics, featuring a high back and the beautiful THREE-POD bases!
The price is for a set of two chairs!
These conference/visitor chairs were originally manufactured by the legendary Alfred Kill (Kill International), who meticulously crafted the 1967 design with the utmost care and masterful handwork, true to the vision of the brilliant Danish design duo, Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm.
Large pieces of leather were used in their production, and the hand-stitched leather seams from the "Kill era" remain truly special! (See detailed photos)
Design features:
- Three-legged, wide-set base frame (fixed – not rotatable) made of solid aluminum
- The organically shaped, leather-covered fiberglass seat shell gives the "Tulip" its distinctive design
- The upholstered leather cover, which simply slips over the shell like a thick coat, gently hugs the soft curves of the unique shape
- High-quality, brown genuine leather with a beautiful patina and characteristic drape
- Both chairs are marked on the underside!

Condition:
Used furniture – very well-maintained and cleaned condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age. The chairs come from the conference room of a medium-sized company and are absolutely ready for immediate use!
Manufacturer:
Unfortunately, very little information is available about the German furniture manufacturer Alfred Kill and his legendary company, Kill International. It was founded in the mid-20th century by Alfred Kill in Stuttgart-Fellbach (Baden-Württemberg).
However, the highest standards for materials, craftsmanship, and design, along with the consistently successful collaborations with renowned designers of his time, secured him a well-deserved place in design history!
The FK-6725 armchair has long been a coveted seating icon and is now produced by the licensed successor, Walter Knoll, which acquired the company in the 1990s and is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality upholstered furniture.
Designers:
The Danish designers Preben Fabricius (1931–1984) and Jørgen Kastholm (1931–2007) met in the 1950s while studying at the School of Interior Design in Copenhagen. Both had previously completed apprenticeships in the field of furniture design. (Fabricius as a cabinetmaker, Kastholm as an artistic blacksmith)
In 1961, they founded a joint design studio.
Numerous of their designs and works have received awards and prizes and are exhibited in museums and design centers worldwide, including the MoMA in New York and the Louvre in Paris.
