The Low Pad was designed in 1999 by Jasper Morrison on the premise of "maximum comfort with minimum size." He was inspired by the elegant simplicity of Poul Kjaerholm's PK22 chair, but felt it lacked comfort. The design came about after he combined the profile of an airport bench with effigies of upholstered shapes. Cappellini realized this with pressed wood seat shells and craftsmanship in upholstery.
One of the chairs has a felt grass green upholstery, the other a dark green fabric upholstery. The chairs can be purchased together or separately.
There are some stains on the underside of the felt chair. These are probably easy to remove.
