The iconic Artifort Ribbon Chair is a sculptural design by Pierre Paulin from 1966. This design classic is a fine example of applied art from the 1960s. With his expertise and innovative vision, Paulin created an elegant model reminiscent of a ribbon. The fusion of functionality, art, and beauty contributes to the timeless character of this design.
A metal tubular frame encased in molded foam and upholstered in a wrinkle-free, stretchy fabric ensures optimal seating comfort in this armchair. Additionally, the base, crafted from high-frequency pressed wood, provides a sturdy and modern appearance. This Artifort icon is ‘sitable art’ and can be found in various locations such as the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Modern Art in New York, airports, and luxury offices.
The Ribbon Armchair is 100 centimeters wide, 74 centimeters deep, and 72 centimeters high.
