Set of 2 pairs of very beautiful vintage design pendant lamps by Peill & Putzler, designed by Aloys F. Gangkofner. This large pendant lamp made of opal glass has an organic shape that tapers from narrow to wide and back to narrow again. The opal glass distributes the light evenly over the entire surface. This creates a very beautiful glow. The lamp, made by Peill & Putzler Germany around 1960 to 1969, has the following dimensions: Height: 50.5 cm Width in the middle: 22 cm About the designer: Prof. Aloys F. Gangkofner (1920 – 2003) was an important German glass designer of post-war modernism. In addition to single individual pieces, he created many industrial designs, including lamps for what was probably the most important German glass lamp manufacturer of the time, Peill & Putzler, as well as works in an architectural context. His work is represented in numerous museums.
