Vintage design
A pair of armchairs from the Hombre series, designed by Burkhard Vogtherr for Rosenthal and produced as part of the Rosenthal Furniture program.
In 1972, Rosenthal expanded its activities from porcelain to furniture and introduced its own furniture collection, manufactured in its own factory in Espelkamp, Germany. Under the Rosenthal Furniture label, the company collaborated with leading designers, including Vogtherr, resulting in distinctive furniture characterized by a clear construction, high-quality materials, and sleek proportions.
The Hombre armchairs feature a solid wood frame with continuous sled-style legs and softly rounded armrests. Loose leather seat and back cushions are set within the frame, making the structure clearly visible while simultaneously offering a comfortable and relaxed seating experience. Designer
